Bob and Doug McKenzie in benefit of the court
In the video benefit of the court, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of strange Canadian brothers who were featured in “Great White North”, a improv which was shown on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it moved to CBC Television in the eighties. Bob McKenzie is performed by Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was brought to life originally as a sketch to both fulfill and laugh about stupid Canadian content demands, the brothers transformed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and America. The brothers soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
Great time code explanation in this video clip eh.

Few movie has so many great quotes packed into so few minutes.
It’s so funny Max Von Sydow took this film. I heard his son was a huge fan of the Mackenzie brothers and that’s why he took the part.
