Bob and Doug McKenzie in Bermudian 12 Days of Christmas – Mike Meridith

In the video Bermudian 12 Days of Christmas – Mike Meridith, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of odd Canadian brothers who are responsible for “Great White North”, a sketch which was aired on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob McKenzie is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is brought to life by Dave Thomas. The bit was created originally as an idea to both please and make fun of dumb Canadian content legislation, the siblings became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
