In the video Beyond Stuff’s WEEKLY WRAP #2 – Eilish/Bond, Rick Moranis, Batman UPDATE!, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of strange Canadian brothers who created “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it got sent to CBC Television in 1980. Bob McKenzie is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug is played by Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was made originally as a sketch to both please and make fun of network Canadian content policies, the siblings grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and America. The characters went on to become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
