Bob Christmas Song, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of strange Canadian brothers who created “Great White North”, a sketch which was featured on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is performed by comic Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as a sketch to both satisfy and makes jokes about dumb Canadian content guidelines, the duo became a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the USA. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
