In the video Bill Engvall – Here’s Your Sign Christmas (Video), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian brothers who are responsible for “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was televised on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in . Bob is created by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug is brought to life by Dave Thomas. Although born originally as a sketch to both fulfill and laugh about legal Canadian content laws, the siblings became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
