Bob and Doug McKenzie in Blindside – Dave Thomas Junior

In the video Blindside – Dave Thomas Junior, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of strange Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a skit which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob is acted by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. Despite born originally as an idea to both please and laugh about network Canadian content legislation, the siblings morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the United States. The brothers enetually would become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
