Bob and Doug McKenzie in Blue Christmas

In the video Blue Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hilarious Canadian comedians who were featured in “Great White North”, a sketch which was broadcast on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob McKenzie is played by comic Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. Which was born originally as a skit to both please and makes jokes about silly Canadian content legislation, the characters turned into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and America. The characters soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
