In the video Bob and Doug McKenzie 12 days of Christmas – Vintage Vinyl Vault, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hilarious Canadian comedians who hosted “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was featured on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. The character Bob McKenzie is acted by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is played by the comedian Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was born originally as a joke to both satisfy and laugh at annoying Canadian content policies, the duo turned into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie brothers became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
