In the video Bob and Doug McKenzie rehash 2016, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of imaginaryfunny Canadian brothers who are responsible for “Great White North”, a segment which was televised on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob is played by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. Despite made originally as an idea to both please and mock stupid Canadian content laws, the characters morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The pair went on to become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
