In the video Bob and Doug McKenzie – Strange Brew Clip #17, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian comedians who were featured in “Great White North”, a improv which was included on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it streamed by CBC Television in the year 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug is played by Dave Thomas. It was created originally as filler to both please and laugh about stupid Canadian content demands, the duo transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The pair went on to become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
