Bob is brought to life by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously born originally as a sketch to both please and make fun of network Canadian content statutes, the siblings became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the USA. The characters soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
