In the video Bob and Doug McKenzie – Strange Brew Clip #9, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian siblings who are responsible for “Great White North”, a segment which was broadcast on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it was aired on CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob McKenzie is played by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is played by Dave Thomas. Which was created originally as filler to both fulfill and mock annoying Canadian content guidelines, the duo became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The brothers became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
