In the video Bob and Doug McKenzie – “The Twelve Days of Christmas”, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of odd Canadian siblings who created “Great White North”, a improv which was televised on second city television for the show’s third season when it got sent to CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob is brought to life by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is brought to life by Dave Thomas. The bit was made originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and mock network Canadian content statutes, the siblings morphed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the States. The pair later became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
