Bob and Doug McKenzie in Bob and Doug

In the video Bob and Doug, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of made up Canadian actors who are responsible for “Great White North”, a show which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it got sold to CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob is brought to life by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is created by Dave Thomas. It was made originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and mock non sensical Canadian content policies, the siblings transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
