Bob and Doug McKenzie in Bob and Doug’s Excellent Adventure
In the video Bob and Doug’s Excellent Adventure, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of fictional Canadian brothers who are responsible for “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was televised on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it was featured on CBC Television in the eighties. Bob’s part is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. Despite brought to life originally as a sketch to both fulfill and mock dumb Canadian content rules, the characters transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and America. The pair later became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
Space Race 2 begins with a picture-perfect, flawless, BORING flight. Space Age Apollo-kid freak-out commences at 16:55. God Bless America!

"LOOK OUT THE WINDOW!"
"Where?!… What're you doing?"
"… Space."
"Oh, right, space, because it's the final frontier."

You made me excited about this launch, after 34 years of ignoring all things "spacey"! The whole family sat around my son's spacious living room big screen TV (minding our "spacing") watching the launch, over lunch, including my 3 year old grand daughter who was celebrating her birthday that day, plus her 5 year old brother.
In 1986, I was within days of giving birth to my first son, laying in bed with my feet up (gestational diabetes), looking forward to my own "flight to motherhood". Earlier in the morning, we had had a slight earthquake in southernmost Ontario (based in Lake Erie), which I joked with my husband was a precursor to labour pains. An hour later, while watching the "bread-box" portable TV, I saw the disintegration of the Challenger (though, today, I'm not at ALL convinced it even happened, considering 6 of the 7 astronauts are seemingly alive and well and most teaching at US universities, so it was clearly a false flag event of some kind, I believe) and was deeply shaken by the "accident". Imminent birth met imminent death, and it affected me viscerally and deeply. I was a Montessori teacher's assistant at the time, on leave, and I knew our students were probably watching the launch at school, as well. I wondered how that event was explained to them. It was a "circle of life day", one I'll never forget, and never hope to reprise.
Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure sounds like a wonderful idea!!!
Any thoughts on United Launch Alliance?
Welcome to the first stage of the Expanse.
I have a couple questions. Why is there a Japanese ship docked at the ISS if there are no Japanese astronauts there? Also how was the ISS built. Did we bring prefabricated sections up on shuttles? How big is the cargo bay on the Dragon capsule? And finally did anyone see Senator Cruz at NASA in Houston? I think he's ready for Bill and Ted's excellent adventure with you Bill!
Blue Danube Docking of SpaceX Crew Dragon With Space Station. Don't know YT link techniques so…

They launched Apollo 11 on my 5th birth day. And they landed a few days latter. I remember that very well. We took that one small step, and then we stumbled.
The Dragon capsule compared to Apollo, as brilliant as it was 50+ years ago, is a Cadillac today to a Ford back then. I watched the Dragon dock and the crew enter the station today. There are two Russian crew aboard. I have to wonder what they will think when they get a look at the inside of Dragon.
I watched it from my back yard. I always get crazy excited by any of the launches. I cried like a baby when we lost Challenger and Columbia.
53:00 The man we need to send into space is Neil Degrasse Tyson.
This launch happened on my birthday. By far one of the best birthday presents I have ever had.
The beginning of the video proved to me that we are living in a simulation. Thank you so much Bill. I can finally finish my thesis. Nanoo Nanoo.
where was AOC? That's putting cow farts to good use, ain't it?
The Apollo launches were totally mindboggling with the shear power unleashed and Spacex didn't disappoint either, and you are right! Video ain't the same as being there! I think the air pressure of the sound against your chest has something to do with it.
You deserve an incredible WWII story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPZplctZLb0
And this guy was an immigrant, right?
Best part. Millions watching people who are watching people watching a TV of these two gents watching the world from above.
you would think they would have a trailing ship that videoed it landing on the barge so we can get a better look
Bill I remember when we set this goal. Well here it is happening. You are a genius. My hero. Keep teaching us and learning and growing. Not about us but for generations to come. I believe God is smiling. Amazing feat. Hope for our future. Whether Jesus comes or not.
Absolutely an amazing learning experience for our youth. All things possible.
It is good to have goals when you are 10 yrs. Old.
