In the video Bob and Doug’s Ralph the Dog tribute, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of hilarious Canadian brothers who hosted “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was televised on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it moved to CBC Television in . The character Bob McKenzie is performed by Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is acted by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was brought to life originally as fluff to both fulfill and mock stupid Canadian content laws, the duo grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
