In the video Bob, Doug and Kate, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian brothers who starred in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was aired on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob McKenzie is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is acted by Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously developed originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and mock network Canadian content laws, the brothers grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the US. The two became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
