In the video Bob & Doug Booted out of Studio – SCTV, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of strange Canadian comedians who can been seen in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it braodcast by CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob McKenzie is brought to life by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is acted by comic Dave Thomas. Although made originally as a joke to both fulfill and laugh about non sensical Canadian content guidelines, the siblings grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The pair soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
