Bob and Doug McKenzie in Bob & Doug Go to Space eh!

In the video Bob & Doug Go to Space eh!, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of strange Canadian comedians who are responsible for “Great White North”, a show which was televised on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob’s character is performed by actor Rick Moranis and Doug is performed by comic Dave Thomas. The sketch was born originally as a skit to both please and makes jokes about annoying Canadian content legislation, the brothers transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The pair soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
