Bob and Doug McKenzie in Bob & Doug Jammin’

In the video Bob & Doug Jammin’, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of imaginaryfunny Canadian family members who starred in “Great White North”, a segment which was televised on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob’s character is performed by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by actor Dave Thomas. Which was created originally as a joke to both please and mock non sensical Canadian content rules, the characters turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
