In the video Bob & Doug Mackenzie 1985 Pizza Hut Commercial, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of fictional Canadian actors who are responsible for “Great White North”, a segment which was included on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob is acted by Rick Moranis and the character Doug is performed by Dave Thomas. Despite made originally as a skit to both please and laugh at legal Canadian content policies, the characters turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and America. The pair later became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
