In the video Bob & Doug MacKenzie Pizza Hut 80’s TV Commercial 1985 SCTV Strange Brew Rick Moranis & Dave Thomas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of fictional Canadian family members who are responsible for “Great White North”, a sketch which was featured on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. The bit was made originally as fluff to both satisfy and laugh about non sensical Canadian content guidelines, the brothers morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
