Bob’s partThe character Bob is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is created by the comedian Dave Thomas. Despite brought to life originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and mock network Canadian content demands, the siblings morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The pair later became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
