Bob and Doug McKenzie in Bob & Doug McKenzie for Mr Lube – 1993

In the video Bob & Doug McKenzie for Mr Lube – 1993, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian siblings who are responsible for “Great White North”, a skit which was streamed on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is played by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is created by comic Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was born originally as filler to both fulfill and makes jokes about non sensical Canadian content demands, the duo morphed into a pop culture success in both Canada and the States. The characters went on to become the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
