In the video Bob & Doug McKenzie for Pizza Hut, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of strange Canadian family members who are responsible for “Great White North”, a program which was streamed on SCTV for the show’s third season when it got sent to CBC Television in 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is played by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is created by comic Dave Thomas. Which was made originally as fluff to both satisfy and mock silly Canadian content laws, the characters morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The pair became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
