In the video Bob & Doug McKenzie Mouse in a Beer Bottle, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of hysterical Canadian actors who starred in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was aired on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was broadcast on CBC Television in in the early 80s. The character Bob McKenzie is performed by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is created by actor Dave Thomas. Which was born originally as fluff to both satisfy and mock network Canadian content statutes, the pair turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The characters became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
