In the video Bob & Doug McKenzie – My Channel Inspiration #shorts, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of fictional Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was broadcast on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. The character Bob McKenzie is played by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was made originally as a sketch to both satisfy and make fun of non sensical Canadian content rules, the characters morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The characters became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
