The character Bob McKenzie is played by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. Which was created originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and mock legal Canadian content laws, the duo became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the United States. The two soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
