In the video Bob & Doug McKenzie – My Channel Inspiration #shorts, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of strange Canadian brothers who were featured in “Great White North”, a sketch which was broadcast on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it got sold to CBC Television in 1980. Bob’s part is brought to life by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is created by actor Dave Thomas. It was developed originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and make fun of dumb Canadian content legislation, the duo transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and America. The McKenzie siblings later became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
