Bob is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is created by Dave Thomas. Despite brought to life originally as a skit to both fulfill and make fun of stupid Canadian content laws, the pair became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie brothers became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
