In the video Bob & Doug McKenzie | Take Off [feat. Geddy Lee] (HQ), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of hilarious Canadian brothers who starred in “Great White North”, a skit which was introduced on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it streamed by CBC Television in the year 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is created by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. Which was born originally as a skit to both satisfy and make fun of network Canadian content guidelines, the duo transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The pair soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
