Bob and Doug McKenzie in Bob & Doug McKenzie – Take Off (Video)

In the video Bob & Doug McKenzie – Take Off (Video), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of fictional Canadian actors who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was featured on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it aired by CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob is created by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by actor Dave Thomas. Although developed originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and make fun of stupid Canadian content guidelines, the characters became a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers went on to become the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
