In the video Bob & Doug McKenzie – Twelve Days Of Christmas (Long Cut) (1981), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of imaginaryfunny Canadian comedians who starred in “Great White North”, a skit which was broadcast on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob’s character is played by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by Dave Thomas. Despite made originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about dumb Canadian content legislation, the siblings grew up to be a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The brothers later became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
