Bob and Doug McKenzie in Bob & Doug – Original Pilot Short

In the video Bob & Doug – Original Pilot Short, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of strange Canadian comedians who hosted “Great White North”, a program which was featured on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it was broadcast on CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob’s character is performed by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is played by comic Dave Thomas. Despite born originally as an idea to both fulfill and makes jokes about silly Canadian content legislation, the pair became a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers went on to become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
