In the video Bob & Doug Talk About Purpose, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of imaginaryfunny Canadian family members who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was streamed on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it got sold to CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob is played by Rick Moranis and Doug is performed by comic Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was created originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and laugh about stupid Canadian content laws, the characters morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The McKenzie siblings became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
