Bob’s partThe character Bob is played by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. Although created originally as fluff to both satisfy and makes jokes about dumb Canadian content legislation, the pair transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the US. The brothers later became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
