In the video Bob Rivers – The 12 Pains of Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hilarious Canadian siblings who are responsible for “Great White North”, a segment which was broadcast on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob McKenzie is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously developed originally as an idea to both satisfy and mock network Canadian content laws, the pair turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The characters soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
