In the video Bob Rivers – The Restroom Door Said Gentlemen, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of odd Canadian family members who hosted “Great White North”, a sketch which was streamed on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob is performed by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is played by comic Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was created originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and make fun of stupid Canadian content policies, the characters became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie brothers went on to become the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
