In the video Bob & Tom – The Election Christmas Carol, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hysterical Canadian comedians who can been seen in “Great White North”, a segment which was televised on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it moved to CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is played by actor Dave Thomas. It was born originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about dumb Canadian content rules, the brothers morphed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the US. The two soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
