Bob and Doug McKenzie in BOBBY – Twelve Days of Christmas (Official Music Video)

In the video BOBBY – Twelve Days of Christmas (Official Music Video), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of imaginaryfunny Canadian actors who are responsible for “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was streamed on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it braodcast by CBC Television in 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is created by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is performed by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was brought to life originally as a joke to both satisfy and make fun of legal Canadian content rules, the characters grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The characters went on to become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
