In the video Brew – A Very Strange Brew Mix, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of hysterical Canadian comedians who hosted “Great White North”, a segment which was aired on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob’s character is performed by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is played by Dave Thomas. Which was created originally as a joke to both please and laugh about dumb Canadian content policies, the characters grew up to be a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the United States. The two went on to become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
