In the video Brocket 99 – 12 Days of Brocket, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hysterical Canadian comedians who are responsible for “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was included on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it braodcast by CBC Television in 1980. Bob is performed by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is brought to life by Dave Thomas. It was created originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and laugh at silly Canadian content policies, the characters transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The brothers soon became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
