Bob and Doug McKenzie in Bunkers’ 12 Days of Christmas (Bunkers Christmas 2018)

In the video Bunkers’ 12 Days of Christmas (Bunkers Christmas 2018), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of fictional Canadian actors who were featured in “Great White North”, a program which was streamed on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob McKenzie is acted by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. The bit was brought to life originally as a sketch to both satisfy and make fun of dumb Canadian content legislation, the two became a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the States. The two later became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
