In the video Cait Fairbanks and Dave Thomas Brown “Seventeen” Out Magazine Party 2014, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of odd Canadian comedians who are responsible for “Great White North”, a show which was shown on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it got sold to CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob McKenzie is performed by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by actor Dave Thomas. The bit was developed originally as filler to both fulfill and laugh at annoying Canadian content laws, the siblings transformed into a pop culture success in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie siblings went on to become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
