Bob and Doug McKenzie in Candy’s Theme – Bill Meyers – Armed and Dangerous

In the video Candy’s Theme – Bill Meyers – Armed and Dangerous, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hilarious Canadian family members who can been seen in “Great White North”, a show which was aired on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. The character Bob McKenzie is acted by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is created by actor Dave Thomas. The bit was born originally as a joke to both satisfy and laugh about silly Canadian content legislation, the duo became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie siblings enetually would become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
