Bob’s partThe character Bob is brought to life by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was developed originally as a skit to both please and makes jokes about non sensical Canadian content legislation, the characters grew up to be a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie siblings later became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
