In the video caught in the action figure fettish #darkhelmet #spaceballs #shorts, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of odd Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a sketch which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob McKenzie is brought to life by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is created by comic Dave Thomas. It was born originally as a joke to both fulfill and laugh about legal Canadian content policies, the two turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The two soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
