Being a doctor in veterinary medicine is not getting fired, it’s choosing a better career in my opinion.
I skimmed through the video timeline, when I saw Tom Selleck I stop to listen. He has neither been fired, nor walked away. You state he doesn't do anything long term, but mention that he is on Blue Bloods, which has been on for 12 years! This is long term by anyone's definition except yours. I've always thought about what do celebrity actors do after they are no longer in movies or tv. Imaging how hard it would be to do something else when EVERYBODY reconizes you from your tv or movie role.
