Bob and Doug McKenzie in Christopher Theater – Strange Brew

In the video Christopher Theater – Strange Brew, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hilarious Canadian siblings who created “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it got sent to CBC Television in 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is created by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. Which was born originally as filler to both fulfill and laugh at stupid Canadian content policies, the siblings transformed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and across the border. The brothers soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
