In the video Cinema Royale – Season 1, Episode 14: Canadian Films, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of made up Canadian siblings who are responsible for “Great White North”, a show which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it got sold to CBC Television in . Bob is performed by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by Dave Thomas. The sketch was born originally as fluff to both fulfill and makes jokes about legal Canadian content legislation, the pair morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
